Requirements of membership
To become a member of the Dor L’dor Society for Legacy Giving, you must agree to create a permanent endowment at the Houston Jewish Community Foundation with assets of at least $100,000.
The first $100,000 of your endowment must be designated to benefit Jewish causes, and the Foundation encourages all members to support our community and our People by directing one-third of the value of their endowment to support the community’s Annual United Jewish Campaign and/or the Foundation’s Unrestricted Fund, both of which benefit the Jewish community at-large.
The remaining assets of your endowment may be used to support other causes that are important to you—Jewish or non-Jewish, local or global.
Members
We recognize and thank the members of the Dor L’dor Society for Legacy Giving, who have made a commitment of $100,000 or more to provide endowments for the future of our community and our People. Members of the Dor L’dor Society have made combined commitments totaling nearly $50 million to benefit the Community’s Annual United Jewish Campaign, the Houston Jewish Community Foundation’s Community Endowment Fund, and dozens of other organizations serving our community here in Houston, in Israel, and throughout the world.
